Profiles of Speakers

Greg Kerley BSRS, R.T.(R)(QM) has a varied educational and experiential background qualifying his efforts as a well-informed and motivating instructor. Greg has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Science. Mr. Kerley is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree at Nova University. He is also a United Stated Department of Labor certified OSHA trainer and was employed by a large industrial manufacturing facility for twelve years as their safety officer. He has been involved in the field of radiology for ten years, coupling his industrial experience with practical knowledge of the radiologic sciences as an instructional foundation. Greg has served in administration and as a staff technologist for several health care facilities. Currently Mr. Kerley is a consultant for San Angelo Community Hospital and an advisor to an education and consulting firm GGK Consulting, Incorporated.  Greg has instructed continuing education programs in radiography for the last ten years as an associate of Continuing Education Professionals.

Alyson Murphy MSRS, R.T.(R)(M) has over 18 years of experience in the field of radiography and has completed a Master of Science degree in Radiologic Science at Midwestern State University. She is past President of the Dallas Area Radiologic Technologist Society.  Alyson has extensive instructional experience not only as an associate of XRAY Continuing Education Credits, but also as clinical instructor at Amarillo College and as a presenter at various state and national conventions. She was the Technical Education Support Specialist for Allied Diagnostic Imaging Resources as well as their Southeast Region Territory Manager. Alyson was also Territory Manager for Excel Imaging in the DFW metroplex.  Ms. Murphy’s numerous professional alliances include the Association of Educators in Radiologic Technology and the American Society of Quality Control. Alyson has been an associate of Continuing Education Professionals for ten years.

Donna Riley-Essex B.S., R.T.(R) graduated from David Lipscomb University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with minors in math, science, and history. She has taught in the public and private school systems in Tennessee. She was trained in radiography at the Metropolitan Nashville General Hospital School of Radiologic Technology, and, after passing the ARRT Registry, she worked for the hospital where she was offered the position of director of the school, a position that she held for 2 years.  Donna is a member of the ASRT and is currently employed by Southern Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Nashville, Tennessee, where she is the senior staff technologist for a practice of eight doctors.  She has extensive experience in private tutoring of children with learning disabilities such as dyslexia and down’s syndrome. Donna’s intelligence and demeanor qualify her as an entertaining and accomplished presenter.
